We believe if we are to be responsible for the final outcome of performance we want to be there from the foundation. Pauls Karts wide experience in engine development has been a key success to this. ALL of our engines are built in house, as we take a great amount of pride in having total control over which parts are selected based upon the customer’s power goals. We are well aware of the factory engines capabilities and when a custom is looking to pass that threshold, the knowledge to provide rock solid recipes is an asset. Our engine program is very well supported by many great industry leading suppliers so we are confident in final product. This internal control also allows us to control schedule of builds as we are not at the mercy of independents.

Boring & Sleeving Services
Cylinder boring is a critical job because it brings the engine block back to life with straight and round holes. A true concentric bore minimizes ring flex as the piston moves up and down and is squarely aligned to the center of the bore and crankshaft. Installing a bigger piston is one of the best ways to increase power of the engine.
Milling Services
Milling the cylinder head is removing a very small amount of metal from the cylinder head to engine block mounting surface. This is usually done to true up the mating surfaces and make them perfectly flat so that a head gasket will not fail due to flaws between the 2 surfaces. Hotrodders have milled or shaved heads for years to increase compression ratio by essentially making the combustion chambers smaller.
Porting Services
Cylinder head porting refers to the process of modifying the intake and exhaust ports of an internal combustion engine to improve their air flow. Cylinder heads, as manufactured, are usually suboptimal for racing applications due to being designed for maximum durability. Ports can be modified for maximum power, minimum fuel consumption, or a combination of the two, and the power delivery characteristics can be changed to suit a particular application.
O-Ring Services
Why install an O ring ? To enhance performance! On almost any engine, O-ringing the block or head and installing a quality wire is one option many performance engine builders use. Doing so will provide another barrier for the combustion chamber seal. The O-ring is often used to seal up higher compression engines where a typical head gasket alone just wont due.
